I am a psychotherapeutic counsellor with a post graduate diploma in humanistic and integrative counselling. I am also a course tutor at the Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling (BCPC), a registered member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). I hold a Diploma in Humanistic and Integrative Counselling BCPC, 2011 and a Foundation Certificate in Psychotherapy and Counselling, 2001. I am also a supervisor in training with CSTD (Centre for Supervision and Team Development) and I am endorsed by CTSD to provide low cost supervision to students, counsellors and psychotherapists. I regularly attend continuing professional development (CPD) training courses and events in order to advance my learning.
My early career was spent in the business world when I travelled and worked in many countries overseas. Before I completed my counselling training I worked extensively with organisations in England and Scotland providing homes for families who had previously been homeless. My wife and I are also former foster carers.
Clients have described my counselling style as creating a gentle tranquil space in their lives where they feel heard and understood, and where it feels safe for them to explore and resolve their deepest fears and anxieties.
